Who's behind KPOS
Before you trust a system with your counter and your money, you should know who makes it: where we came from, and where KPOS is going.
Who you're actually buying from
KPOS is made by Keyus Inc, based in Arcadia, California. We launched KPOS in 2023 so a restaurant can run the counter, the kitchen and payments on one system.
Where the name KPOS comes from
First the domain, then the company, then KPOS.

We have long owned the domain key.us — a key is what connects everything in the digital world. In February 2020 we incorporated the company in California under that name: Keyus Inc.
It started as KeyPOS: everything connected
When we started, the product was called KeyPOS — Key plus POS. The idea was to connect things: online and offline, for running a restaurant or a retail store.
Once AI matured, it became KPOS at kpos.ai
We formally named it KPOS, with AI at its core and connected to the AI world. A POS should connect online and offline, and connect guests with owners. More importantly, it has to face a world where people use AI agents to get things done — so we help restaurants use their own agents to deal with those agents. That is our core, and it is why the name became KPOS, at kpos.ai. KPOS® is a registered trademark of Keyus Inc, not affiliated with other POS companies that have similar names.
Tired of an iPad, a card reader and a printer that don't get along? That's where we started
KPOS began with one conviction: a restaurant should run on a single device, not a tangle of an iPad, a bolt-on card reader and a separate printer. So we started where it mattered most — the counter.
One machine at the counter, not three
KPOS was among the first companies in the US to bring the Sunmi-built P3 MIX to market — now in its third generation. Ordering, payment and printing happen on one big touchscreen device, with the card reader built inside instead of clipped on.
Software from one company, payments from another?
KPOS builds its restaurant software and handles payment certification in house — most software vendors can't do both. That's why we could certify the device, adapt it and get it running in real restaurants before almost anyone else, and why our team is the most experienced in the US at making Sunmi all-in-one hardware work with big-screen restaurant software.
Need more than a register? It grew, one generation at a time
Each generation added more of what a restaurant actually runs on, until one terminal became a complete system: KPOS Core for the register, payments and back office; KposGo! so your online customers stay yours; KPOS AI to put AI to work across the restaurant; KPOS Partner for resellers who sell it under their own brand.
